Football Expert Chris Sutton Faces Off Against Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match victorious run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the global break, however will the English top division leaders bounce back against local foes Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham at the moment but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to nullify Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still manage to win."

Sutton is making predictions for all 380 Premier League games this season, versus AI, fans and a variety of special visitors.

In the twelfth round, he faces singer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

The singer's new record, Knees Up, is available on Friday.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of multiple Soccer Aid matches down the years - but he is not intending a serious comeback as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a charity match the other evening for a mate of mine," he explained. "The team was losing 3-1 when I was substituted in the second half, and they proceeded to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I continue to love football, but I injured my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too risky for me in my career to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am forty-one now, and we are not all Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the time that my child or son chooses to play instead."

Murs and his wife his partner have a young family, their daughter and their son, and he is prepared to follow in his father's footsteps by becoming their coach.

"I won't push football on our kids but I've already told Amelia that if they do get the bug for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be coaching their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I watched my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I inherited it. He coached our team for two or three seasons and had great fun with it. That could be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to be patient for Cole Palmer's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Pedro and Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be fairly tight, however. The Clarets are disciplined and their only home defeats so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all tie to me, but I am actually going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have lost their previous couple games - although both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at home, they do look strong again.

The Hammers' sole on the road win this campaign came at Forest in the summer, when West Ham manager Nuno was previously that team's manager.

So, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their run under Nuno, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to choose Bournemouth, because I believe what happened against Aston Villa was a anomaly.

The pundit's prediction: 2-0

The guest's outlook: The home team are doing well but West Ham have improved under their boss. 2-2

The algorithm's prediction: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for the drop before the campaign started, but they have surprised a few observers under their manager and are in good form with three in their past four games.

My son advised me to get Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I didn't listen.

The forward will probably find the net again on Saturday but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or back Brentford at Brighton's ground.

They have not had great fortune on the road this term, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the break but I feel Fabian Hurzeler's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

Olly's prediction: It could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be quite tight. 1-1

The computer's outcome: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for Fulham, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

Fulham have have lots of quality in their squad but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation fight.

Regarding Sunderland, indeed they are the unexpected success of the Premier League season so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not seen anyone else disrupt the Gunners like that this term, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing to do to back the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of roughing the hosts up too and, the last time they were in this part of London, they defeated the Blues at the end of last month.

But I am not do that. Instead, I truly need to carry on opposing Sunderland with my predictions. I am taking a lot of responsibility for their positive results because they clearly enjoy to defy my predictions.

Looking at the home side's home record, the sole side they have lost to is Arsenal. Marco Silva's side will be absolutely desperate for a good result, so I am going to say they will pick up three points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are doing well and additionally that the hosts are on a poor run... but Fulham have still been decent at home this season. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. Liverpool have suffered seven of their past 10 matches in every tournament, but could they be one of the sides who profit from the {international break|
