Police have published alarming video showing a motorist performing dangerous drifting maneuvers around a roundabout during an unauthorized car meet, putting watching crowds at grave risk of injury.
An individual aged 23 from Southampton was given a jail term of 27 weeks, suspended for one year, after admitting to reckless operation of a vehicle.
Additionally, the court issued a 12-month driving ban and mandated unpaid work along with a behavioral course.
According to police officials, the recording was filmed at an illegal car meet in the city on 28 December 2024, showing the driver driving a distinctive colored vehicle.
“This footage demonstrates the alarming incident when a reckless motorist drifted on a traffic circle at an unauthorized vehicle event, while spectators looked on despite the danger of serious injury.”
