Unbowed Wilfried Nancy insists he is not worried about being fired yet supporters display wrath after defeat.

The under-pressure manager stated he did not fear dismissal, claiming, “The team is really close to a turnaround,” even after moving dangerously close to the exit with a convincing setback against their arch-rivals.

Another Collapse Results in Derby Defeat

The home side had led their oldest rivals at the interval but a collapse after the break allowed the Gers to move level on points with the current league title holders. The French coach, who was hired from Columbus Crew, has now presided over six losses in his last eight fixtures.

Nancy’s Persistent Belief

“The standard we had at certain moments was exceptionally high. That is a fact. I could not talk like that if it was untrue. Therefore, in terms of results, I noted it's a repeating pattern. Which is why I feel a change is coming to a shift in fortunes. Currently: small things.”

“We produced a lot of encouraging signs that we did, as was the case today. The issue now is consistency. My narrative would be different if I didn't believe it. That’s why I am convinced we will manage to get back on track.”

Opposition Reaction Response

Rangers manager was cautious about a serious challenge even after what felt like a landmark win. “We take it game by game, then we can develop something here,” he said. “The faith in the squad is immense.”
